About Severian

Home

My real name is Phillip Crews, and I'm the President of Cerious Software, Inc., the developer of ThumbsPlus, a wonderful graphic organizing and editing program.

I chose the name "Severian" from a series of books by Gene Wolfe, in which the protagonist was Severian the Torturer, a member of the guild of torturers. In real life, there was a Saint Severian, though I have done no research on him.

I'm getting better at Half-Life; below are some recent statistics from www.theclq.com (as of Tuesday 4/11/2000). This is an awesome site that tracks multi-player games all over the Internet and compiles weekly ratings and rankings of players, servers and levels.
